Monday April 20th: Palermo Airport/Balestrate/Castellammare del Golfo/Balestrate
Arrival in Palermo Airport in the morning and private bus transfer to our first hotel in Balestrate, a beautiful village on the beach. Check in at 4 stars hotel and free time in the village or relaxing at the hotel. From the hotel you will enjoy an amazing view of the Castellammare Gulf. At dinner time, all together, will enjoy the welcome dinner in a selected restaurant in Castellammare del Golfo.
Tuesday April 21st: Balestrate/Segesta/Camporeale/Balestrate
This morning, after breakfast, our first stop will be Segesta, an archeological site visiting the ancient Greek Temple and Amphitheatre, still in great shape… you will walk in the middle of the history! A couple of hours in Segesta and then will move, over lunch time, in a local winery, learning about wine production and tasting their products with local food. After lunch, will go back to the hotel, free afternoon and dinner on your own.
Wednesday April 22nd: Balestrate/Erice/Trapani
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola staff will collect your luggage to move to Trapani. Before reaching the city, will stop in Erice, an ancient medieval city, located on top of the mountain. You will enjoy your free morning and lunch on your own in Erice. After you have enjoyed this fascinating village, check in at 4 stars hotel in Trapani. Dinner all together in a selected restaurant in the city.
Thursday April 23rd: Trapani/Marsala/Castelvetrano/Trapani
This morning, after breakfast, will visit the Salt Flats and Salt Museum of Marsala, learning about the salt prodiction. After this interesting stop, will move to Castelvetrano, for a visit with tasting lunch in a local bakery, discovering the typical “pane nero” of Castelvetrano, Slow Food Presidium. After lunch, will go back to Trapani with free afternoon and dinner on your own.
Friday April 24th: Trapani/Sciacca/Ragusa
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola staff will collect your luggage to move to our next destination: Ragusa! A beautiful Baroque city on the East side of the Island. Before reaching Ragusa, we will stop over lunch time in Sciacca to have lunch in a selected restaurant, with an amazing view on the Port of the village! After lunch, will reach Ragusa, check in 4 stars hotel, a little free time, relaxing at the hotel, and dinner all together in a selected restaurant.
Saturday April 25th: Ragusa/Siracusa/Modica/Ragusa
After breakfast, guided tour of Siracusa with our tour guide for a couple of hours, discovering one of the most ancient Sicilian cities. After the walking tour, you will have free time and lunch on your own in the city. Tonight, we will enjoy the artisanal chocolate of Modica! We will visit a chocolate producer with a delicious tasting. From there, will move in a selected restaurant to have the chocolate dinner! You will discover and learn how people of Modica traditionally use the chocolate not only for the dessert, but also for antipasto, primo and secondo!
Friday April 26th: Ragusa
This morning we suggest you a light breakfast, because will meet a cheese producer, who will make you taste a fresh ricotta cheese! From the cheese farm, will move at the local market to buy all the ingredients for the cooking class. Light lunch at the hotel and then will go in the kitchen for the cooking class: a 1 Star Michelin Chef will work with your group and you will be responsible for preparing a traditional Sicilian meal. You will start in the morning by going to the local market and shopping for ingredients. In the afternoon the chef will assist you in the preparation of the dishes. Tonight the cooking class dinner in a 1 Star Michelin Restaurant.
Sunday April 27th: Ragusa/Piazza Armerina/Palermo
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola staff will collect your luggage to move our last destination: Palermo, the Capital of Sicily! On our way, we will stop at Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina, a beautiful ancient villa, full of mosaics…amazing! After the visit, you will have lunch on your own around the nice square of the villa, then we will keep going to Palermo. In the afternoon, check in at 4 stars hotel, free afternoon and dinner on your own in the city.
Monday April 28th: Palermo
After breakfast at the hotel, the Norman & Arabic guided tour of Palermo with our English speaking tour guide, who will show you the most beautiful part of the city. After the guided tour of the city, we will reach an authentic local market to enjoy the street food, discovering the typical products of the territory. After the market tour, you are free to discover on your own the city. In the afternoon you can relax at the hotel, go to shopping or walking in the beautiful street of the city and, at night, dinner on your own, discovering the food of Palermo.
Tuesday April 29th: Palermo
After breakfast, we will reach an artisanal ceramic workshop, where local people will show and explain you the typical ceramic of Palermo… everything handmade! You will have the chance to buy something, if you like, and then… sweet time! We will move to a local pastry shop, tasting the typical Sicilian dessert, so delicious! In the afternoon you can relax at the hotel, go to shopping or walking in the beautiful street of the city and, at night, all together we will enjoy our last dinner (of this tour!).
Thursday April 30st: Palermo/Palermo Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Palermo airport.
