A Taste Of Italy
Arrival in Palermo Airport in the morning and private transfer to our hotel in Balestrate, a beautiful village on the beach. Check in at 4 stars hotel and free time in the village or relaxing at the hotel. From the hotel you will enjoy an amazing view of the Castellammare Gulf. At dinner time, all together, will enjoy the welcome dinner in a selected restaurant.
Today, after breakfast, our destination will be Palermo, discovering the city in all its shades! We will start with a Norman-Arabic guided tour of Palermo, with our professional English-speaking tour guide. At the end of the guided tour, we will move to the most ancient food market of the city, learning about local ingredients and enjoying the typical street food of Palermo. After the market tour… sweet time! We will visit a local pastry shop, discovering the typical Sicilia desserts, so delicious! Following we will start our cooking class in a professional kitchen: a professional chef and his team will work with you in the preparation of typical Sicilian meal. You will be responsible of a specific dish and, at dinner time, you will enjoy what you have prepared. Dinner cooking class and transfer back to the hotel.
This morning, after breakfast, we will come back to Palermo, having some free time, discovering the city and its food on your own. After lunch, we will move to Mondello, the beautiful beach village of Palermo, enjoying sea and shopping. In the afternoon, transfer back to Balestrate, with a stop in Terrasini, taking an aperitivo and dinner on your own.
This morning, after breakfast at the hotel, our first stop will be Segesta, an archeological site, visiting the ancient Greek Temple and Amphitheatre, still in great shape… you will walk in the middle of the history! A couple of hours in Segesta and then will move, over lunch time, in a local winery, learning about wine production and tasting their products with local food. After lunch, will go back to the hotel, for a little free time and dinner, all together, in a selected restaurant.
Today, after breakfast, we will move to Castelvetrano, for a visit with tasting lunch in a local bakery, discovering the typical “pane nero” of Castelvetrano, Slow Food Presidium. Following, we will visit the Salt Flats and Salt Museum of Marsala, learning about the salt production. After this interesting stop, our next stop will be Trapani, a beautiful city with Arabic influences, where you will enjoy your free afternoon and dinner on your own. Transfer back to the hotel after dinner.
This morning, after breakfast, we will move to Erice, an ancient fascinating medieval city, located on top of the mountain, still in great shape, with an amazing view on the city of Trapani and Egadi Islands. You will enjoy your free morning, discovering the village, and lunch on your own. In the afternoon, we will come back to Balestrate, relaxing at the hotel or walking and shopping in the village and dinner on your own.
Balestrate/San Vito Lo Capo/Balestrate
This morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will move to San Vito Lo Capo, very well known for its beautiful sandy beach and for the cous cous. For the last day in Sicily, you will have the chance to enjoy beach, shopping and lunch on your own. In the afternoon, transfer back to the hotel, relaxing or packing you bags and, in the evening, group dinner in a selected restaurant.
After breakfast, luggage collection and transfer to Palermo airport.
