Brindisi Airport/Polignano A Mare
Arrival at Brindisi Airport in the morning and private van transfer to our first location: Polignano A Mare, a beautiful village overhanging the sea. Check in at 5 stars hotel, free time relaxing at the hotel or enjoying the pool. At dinner time, all together, will enjoy the welcome dinner in a selected restaurant.
Polignano A Mare/Martina Franca/Alberobello/Grotte di Castellana/Polignano A Mare
This morning we will start our bike adventure! After breakfast at the hotel, we will take our van transfer to Martina Franca. From Martina Franca, you will take your bike to reach Alberobello, an incredible village, where you can admire the “trulli” of Alberobello, typical houses in round shape, with dome roof self-supporting, built with dry stones circles. Free walking, exploring the village and the food on your own. After lunch, you will take back your bikes to reach the beautiful Caves of Castellana Grotte, where you can visit with a professional tour guide. After the guided tour in the caves, you will come back to the hotel by bike for a free evening.
Polignano A Mare/Ostuni/Parco Dune Costiere/Monopoli/Polignano A Mare
This morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we will reach Ostuni with our vans. Ostuni is a fascinating village, called the “white house” of Salento, for its beautiful houses and streets, totally built in limestone. Free time discovering the village, then bike transfer to Natural Park of Duna Costiere, where you can enjoy the park and lunch on your own, next bike transfer to Monopoli, a beautiful town by the beach, where you can go to shopping, walking and admiring the scenario. After the last visit to Monopoli, transfer back to the hotel by bike, for a short break to get a shower and relax, before meeting all together for dinner in a selected restaurant.
Polignano A Mare/Gioia del Colle/Gravina/Altamura/Matera
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola Tour staff will collect your luggage to move to our next destination. First, we will reach Gioia del Colle with our van, to visit a local cheese producer and his workshop, learning about the traditional cheeses production and tasting their great products. Following this nice stop, van transfer from Gioia del Colle to Gravina. From Gravina you will take your bikes to reach Altamura, a nice village well known for its delicious bread. We will visit a local bakery, learning about the typical bread of Altamura and typical tarallini pugliesi. After the visit, we will move by bike to Matera, in Basiciliata region, a fascinating city, called the “Stones City” that belong to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in at 4 stars hotel in Matera and free evening.
Matera
This morning, after breakfast, you will enjoy an interesting historical guided tour of Matera, with our professional tour guide, discovering the stones area and its past. Lunch all together in a selected restaurant in Matera, then free afternoon, exploring the city and the local cuisine on your own.
Matera/Gallipoli/Marina di San Gregorio
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola Tour staff will collect your luggage to reach our next location: Marina di San Gregorio, a beautiful village looking at the Ionian Sea. Before reaching our new home, we will go by van to Gallipoli, a nice town by the west coast of Salento, free walking and lunch on your own in Gallipoli. After lunch, you will take your bike to reach Marina di San Gregorio. Check in at 4 stars hotel, a short break to relax at the hotel or enjoy the pool, before meeting all together for dinner in a selected restaurant.
Marina di San Gregorio/Gagliano del Capo/Marina di San Gregorio
Today you cook! After breakfast, we will move by van to a nearby Agriturismo, where local people grow all kind of vegetable and we will walk around the beautiful property. Over lunch time, we will have la lovely tasting lunch with this genuine food. After lunch, we will move to an ancient building, for our cooking class, discovering the ancient recipes of the region. Local people will work with your group and you will be responsible for preparing a traditional Puglia meal. You will start in the morning learning about ingredients. In the afternoon they will assist you in the preparation of the dishes. At dinner time, will enjoy the cooking class dinner.
Marina di San Gregorio/Tricase/Miggiano/Marina di San Gregorio
After breakfast, we will take our vans to reach a local winery in Tricase, visiting the wine cellar and tasting their great wines. After this nice stop we will move by van to Miggiano, visiting a local olive oil producer, including a stroll through their historic olive groves… will be amazing to walk around trees of more than 700 years old! After visiting the company and their meal, we will have a lovely tasting lunch with the family, pairing the olive oil with local food. From there will come back to the hotel. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to relax at the hotel, enjoy the pool or the nearby beach and have dinner on your own.
Marina di San Gregorio/Otranto/Lecce
Today, pack your bags and, while you have breakfast, Attavola Tour staff will collect your luggage to move to Lecce, a beautiful city called “the Florence of the South”. Before going to Lecce, we will stop in Otranto, the most eastern city of Italy, on the east coast of Salento. You will enjoy the guided tour of Otranto, free time and lunch on your own. After lunch, we will continue our way to Lecce by bike. Check in at the 5 stars hotel, located downtown in Lecce, surrounded by restaurants, shops and bars, you will have free time in the afternoon, walking, shopping and enjoying the city and local cuisine on your own.
Lecce
After breakfast, you will enjoy the guided tour of Lecce with our English speaking tour guide, including the visit at lime stone and cartapesta masters. After the walking tour, you will have lunch on your own, free afternoon and free night in Lecce, exploring the city on your own, go to shopping, relax at the hotel or pack your luggage. At dinner time we will meet all together for a group dinner in a selected restaurant.
Lecce/Brindisi Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Brindisi Airport.
